On Wednesday morning, heavy rainfall gave relief to people from the scorching heat, wherein water-logging on the roads threw the entire city of Gurgaon out of the gear. Roads were caved in and blocked by uprooted trees.
The second shower of the day bought in fresh problems for Gurgaon
people. Trees were unearthed, which fell on road and blocked it. This
resulted in traffic mess and chaos. People were caught in the traffic
jam for a long time. At several places, even roads were collapsed. A
lot many construction work is underway in varioys parts of the city,
which added to the woes of the city.
As was reported by timesofindia.com, HUDA chief, PC Meena said
that stern actions would be taken if people were found lacking in trying to better the situation.
Mehrauli Road, IFFKO Chowk, Civil Iines, Old DLF in the old city
area apart from Golf Course Road, Sikanderpur, MG Road, parts of
sector 56, HUDA Sectors 47, 14, 15, 10A, 26, 31, 43 were badly hit as
clogged drains left the roads inundated.
Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon(MCG) Chief Praveen Kumar assured
that he will himself take the stock of situation in a few days and
reformation will be made as soon as possible.
