We Care film festival held in Bhubaneswar
WITH THE theme 'Dignity and Justice for all', the 'We Care' film festival on disability issues was organised by a leading NGO AAINA here in the Bhubaneswar.

THIS IS for the second time that the two-day long festival has been organised in the state. In 2009, Indian Institute of Mass Communication (Dhenkanal) was the location where this unique film festival was held. The ‘We Care Film Fest’ is a travelling festival with the aim of raising awareness about disability issues through the medium of film. Short and documentary film makers of Odisha and from across the country participated in the festival.

Apart from that a script writing competition was also organised among school children. The award winning scripts along with best movies were awarded and felicitated in this festival. More than 25 films of film makers from across the globe were screened during this festival. Film maker of International repute Gobind Nihlani attended the event on the day of inauguration.

This festival, now that it has been held the second time in two years, is a positive for the state of artistic discourse in the state and its artists who want to chose films as their medium of expression.
