Wedding Invites- The surging creativity
As Meira’s parents agreed that she brings home the guy she wishes to marry, there has been no slow day for her since then. The families met, the wedding date was announced and a long to-do list was drawn.

Although, Meira and her fiancée work in different cities, they have been allotted certain tasks and that has been making her weak on nerves. Given the short span of time, the urgent deadlines at work and no scope of availing leaves, the couple has been going mad.

The most dreaded task however, was selecting the wedding cards. Having quite many NRI relatives and friends, they fret buying the typical wedding card that had nothing different from others except the bride and groom’s names.

Wedding cards are no longer only a formal invitation sent out to guests. It has come a long way from how it was seen when the older generation married.

The first major shift has been in the choice of colours. The traditional red wedding card with divine motifs has been steadily replaced by its vividly coloured counterparts. With the onset of themed weddings, the wedding invites have found more importance than ever before.

Since the invite is the first most thing of a wedding to reach others, it is best to ensure that it is in perfect sync with the theme and this has called in for creative wedding cards. In order to find the correct fitment, they are as unconventionally coloured as mauve and peach or even with a twist in burgundy!

When Aastha, a Bengali, decided to marry Vidit, a Rajasthani, the families wanted to believe that there was no wedding card in the market for such couples. With the increasing number of cross cultural weddings, the wedding invite vendors are facing more challenges. The diverse cultures demand more creativity to accommodate the cultural essence of both the families and that is when a modern wedding card is born!

With the couples spending a good span of time together, before getting married, they tend to send out more personalised wedding invites, like writing beautiful lines introducing their soul mate to their guests. Ishika wanted the wedding invite vendor to include one such line that announced their wedding but the traditional vendor failed to understand the logic and denied any such possibilities.

Ishika found the perfect invite for her wedding on a website called That’s another reason why our generation needs creative wedding invites vendors.

That ensures the presence of more guests on the wedding day!
