It refers to Delhi High Court placing details of assets and wealth of its judges on its website. Chief Justice of Delhi and his fellow judges including Justice S Ravindra Bhatt, Justice Murlidharan and Justice Vikram Jit Sen deserve compliments.

IT REFERS to Delhi High Court placing details of assets and wealth of its judges on its website. Chief Justice of Delhi and his fellow judges including Justice S Ravindra Bhatt, Justice Murlidharan and Justice Vikram Jit Sen deserve special compliments for upholding people’s faith in judicial system even by going against views of some others in top judiciary on the issue of transparency in judicial-administration system.

However it is surprising that details of movable properties like jewellery and vehicles of judges are not put on website of Delhi High Court. Union government should bring a comprehensive bill in this regard to make system of declaration uniform for all courts. Suggested legislation will also quicken the process at a time when only three High Courts and Supreme Court have updated their websites with details of assets and wealth of their judges.
