It seems that Hollywood stars are getting fond of Bollywood. Denise Richards in Kambakkht Ishq, Barbara Mori in Kites and Kylie Minogue in Blue show their interest in Bollywood. Rajan Zed, welcomes western stars to explore the rich Indian Culture
MTV NOMINATED American actress-model Denise Richards who was seen in The World is not Enough, recently starred in Sabbir Khan directed “Kambakkht Ishq” (Unfortunate Love), while Golden Camera winner Australian actress-singer Kylie Minogue (Neighbours) is part of “Blue” (Anthony D’Souza).
MTV winner actress-model Barbara Mori (Inspiracion) of Uruguay-Japanese-Mexican origin will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan in “Kites” (Anurag Basu), whereas Florence Brudenell-Bruce of United Kingdom plays love interest Jo of hero Saif Ali Khan in “Love Aaj Kal.”Kalki Koechlin, 26, of French descent, who studied at Goldsmiths University of London, is Chanda in “Dev D” (Anurag Kashyap) and British model Lisa Lazarus plays second lead in “Veer” (Anil Sharma). German model-actress-singer Claudia Ciesla (10:10) is Linda in “Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation” (MR Shahjahan).
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA), while welcoming western stars to Bollywood, urged the Bollywood filmmakers not to blindly copy the West and try to preserve the rich cultural heritage of India. Rajan Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, further said that cinema being a powerful medium; Bollywood had the duty to create pride among Indian audiences about their ancient heritage while adopting the good aspects of Western civilisation.
.Sadly this lot rush to Bollywood because they could not find any work as "actors" in Hollywood being so mediocre in West at best of times so it is money for jam for them. Kylie is classic example of over hyped mediocre both in non exiting acting and tat pop songs.India's own stars are far better
