Shri Ram Sena Jammu-Kashmir has expressed serious concern over spurt in rape cases across India in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular.
ADDRESSING A press conference Thursday, Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir chief Rajiv Mahajan categorically held the influence of Western culture on Indian society responsible for inhuman acts like rapes and vulgarity. Mahajan said that the Western culture has penetrated deep into Indian culture and has distorted the world’s oldest and civilized Indian culture.
Mahajan said that their organization has started a movement to oppose celebrations of Western events like Valentine’s Day, Hug Day and Kiss Day etc. throughout the country. Bangalore and Bhopal units of Shri Ram Sena have already started “NO to Western Culture” movement and Jammu unit announced the same from Thursday to save the civilized culture of country as well as of state from heading towards vulgarity.
Mahajan further said that some entertainment programmes on small as well as on big screens also add to the vulgarity and excite the emotions of young generation resulting in uncivilized activities like rapes and murders. He demanded that programmes like “Big Boss” and “Laughter challenge” on small screen should be banned in view of their non-sense and vulgar postures. He also appealed to film industry to make movies keeping the Indian culture in high esteem and ignore Western posture.
Mahajan appealed to all youth of the country to incline towards Indian culture which is “the oldest as well as civilized culture of all the cultures of the world for self respect as well as progress and prosperity of the individual family, state and the country”.
