With 5 Average TRP and Amitabh Bachchan’s charm, everything was looking bright for Sony Television until Bigg Boss Season 5 came along. With all girls and only Shakti Kapoor as the 'manly' new inmates - it promised to be interesting.

However, according to Timesofindia.com, Amitabh Bachchan is still ruling the TRP ratings as KBC is doing really well this season. Sony TV has decided to take up people who inspire others with their life struggles. This is really working for people, who are not only looking at a game show but they are also viewing other people’s life who are at a disadvantage and how they have made or trying to make it in life. Hope always works and this is the safest formula that Sony Television is banking on this season.

Bigg Boss Season 5 is also trying to spring surprises with their new concept. Will twelve girls and Shakti Kapoor, Colours thought that people would see how Shakti behaves but they were disappointed because there was hardly any turmoil in the house except in the form of Puja Mishra. Even that topic was getting stale when they introduced Amar Upadhay and some action is expected between him and Juhi Parmar in today’s episode. Hopefully, this will salvage the viewership of Bigg Boss season 5. For now Amitabh Bachchan is definitely ruling and Sony is determined to keep the scenario this way.
