What is Easter all about?
Easter is a Christian festival and holiday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion at Calvary. It is celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon following the March equinox and this year it falls on April 20.

The Festival has got two facets consisting of the religious part and the feasting part. The feasting part of the Easter has been commercialized now. However, spending time with and serving those we love is considered the true spirit of Easter. 'God is love? is the spiritual aspect of Easter. Therefore, at the Church, Easter is typically a well-attended Sunday service of the year.

It is believed that through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid for sins of all who believe in Him. The resurrection signifies that God will judge the world in righteousness with the message of transformation that we are spiritually resurrected with Jesus to walk in righteous way of life.

Another Easter traditions are that of gifting eggs and egg-hunting or fun games with eggs. Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given out to celebrate the festival. However dyed and painted chicken eggs are getting substituted by the eggs made from chocolate or plastic eggs filled with candy and jelly. The Easter Bunny is also a popular gift in the US.
