Either you step down on your own or we will issue an order: SC to BCCI Chief- The Supreme Court today told N Srinivasan, the chief of Board of Control for Cricket in India, to step down from his chair for a fair investigation into the allegation of betting, referring to the Mudgal committee report. Srinivasan's continuance is 'nauseating', the apex court called in a strong comment. This was the second hearing in the case after justice Mudgal submitted the probe report to the apex court. The first hearing held on March 7 and had been adjourned by the court to study BCCI's response.
Malaysian flight MH370 went down in Indian Ocean

The Boeing 777, with 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board, was headed from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, went down in the southern Indian Ocean. Till now, its final location is not spotted.

The sixteen days search for Malaysian airline involving two dozen nations, more than three million square miles came to an end leaving many questions unanswered.

Black ink, egg attack on AAP's Kejriwal in Varanasi

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal is in cultural city Varanasi today to probably announce his Lok Sabha candidature. Earlier in the day Kejriwal faced some opposition with black ink and egg thrown on him. Kejriwal had said that if the people of Varanasi want, hw would fight against Modi who is contesting Lok Sabha elections from the city.

M. Karunanidhi dismisses his son M.K. Aligiri from DMK

DMK president M. Karunanidhi today announced the dismissal of his son M.K. Alagiri from the party. Aligiri, 63, former union minister, had been sacked for criticising the party in the run up to the Lok Sabha elections and confusing DMK members and supporters, Karunanidhi explained. On January 24, the DMK had suspended Aligiri for opposing his brother M.K. Stalin, who is tipped for the party's top post.
