What will happen to our flats: Scared Noida Extension flat owners ask Noida Authority
The recent judgment of Allahabad High Court in which the apex court ordered demolition of two residential towers of Supertech's Emerald Court project in Noida has caused great concern among the flat buyers and had been an eye opener for the builders as well as the local authorities.

In the past three to four years there were many incidents where the builders were breaking the laws. The biggest concern is that, everything is being done under the nose of the concerned government authorities.

Expressing its concern, Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA) has written a letter to the CEO of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (Noida), in which the association has raised questions on the validity of housing projects in Greater Noida (West). NEFOWA wantes to know whether these projects in G. Noida west are following the rules of the law or not?

NEFOWA also brought up the issue that lakhs of flat buyers who had booked their flats in Greater Noida West have been facing problems in owning their dream homes.

The association mentioned in the letter, "Most of the builders are using unethical way to cancel the old bookings, to change layout plans, to change super area and to demand additional payment and so on. Flat buyers of Greater Noida West wants to know from you that even after more than three years of the enactment of U.P. Apartment Act'2010 and U.P. Apartment Rules 2011, how can the builders be whimsical about the buyers and can cheat them?"

NEFOWA also asked for an updated report on whether builders of Greater Noida West are abiding to all the regulations under this act. On behalf of the other flat buyers in Noida and Greater Noida, NEFOWA has requested the implementation of the UP Apartment Act as soon as possible.

NEFOWA said, "We hope that this time our concern will be acknowledged. There is great anxiousness among Greater Noida West flat buyers that whether the projects of Greater Noida West too are under the similar problem as that of Emerald Court of Supertech."
