In Athiti Tum Kab Jaoge, is Puneet (Ajay Devgan) with his wife Munmun (Konkona Sen Sharma) and a kid symbolize the typical nuclear family in a suburb called Goregaon.

Their daily lifestyle eventually leads to bigger trouble when Lamobodar Chachaji (Paresh Rawal), who is a long lost uncle, inexplicably related to them turns up unannounced at their doorstep from a far off village. Due to the unwanted guest, Puneet loses his peace of mind and Munmun loses her independence. They make plans to throw Chachaji out of their house.

Director Ashwani Dhir did a good job with Athiti Tum Kab Jaoge. Paresh Rawal again played superb as the atithi. Ajay Devgan and Kokona Sen Sharma are average in this film. Pritam Chakraborty's music is good and cinematographer Aseem Bajaj work can be said excellent. The film was shot at Yashraj Studios, Filmistan, Film City and other locations in Mumbai.
