Which profession should I choose? Should it be money or passion?
I am a writer by choice not by chance. Amitabh, Sachin and Bindra are legends in their domain because this is what they aimed to do and are enjoying it to the hilt. Imagine a situation wherein Amitabh is working as an accountant, Sachin as a teacher and Bindra as a business man.

THE QUESTION I am posing to my readers is not as easy as it seems. It’s a very tricky question. Any irrational deviation from the point may wreck havoc to youth encountering identical dilemma. Ideal decision may break you, while imposing a decision also has the potential to break you.

Well, I don’t want a job; want as freedom to do what I love most, my passion, writing. I sincerely work through the day and during night dream about my passion. It is something that's close to my heart, soul and body. Without writing I can’t imagine life. Never wanted to impress parents, dear and near ones and relatives. Person in me always wanted to satiate his inner soul, which wanted him to choose writing as a profession and career. Pen, rationalized thoughts, knowledge are my arms and ammunition. I am using them judiciously to make both ends meet and excel in career.

Why should I copy my friends, who are engineers, doctors, government officers and business men - it’s my life. I want inner satisfaction, serene of mind, tranquility in body and philosophy. What’s amazing about your dream job is that you love doing it even when you are exhausted and sooner or later you will triumph in your chosen field as only in your profession that's dear to your heart that you can dispense brilliance.

Remember barring certain things, almost all human beings are akin. Don’t let inferiority complex invade your mental faculties. Famous writer Shiv Khera sums up difference between winner and loser in a very emphatic and logical manner: Winner do not do different things, they do things differently.

To make things about career extra lucid, I am sharing two very interesting quotations focused on career:

a) "The best career advice given to the young is: Find out what you like doing best and get someone to pay you for doing it." - Katherine Whitehorn

b) "No man can succeed in a line of endeavor which he does not like." - Napoleon Hill

Do you think they would have achieved in those imposed professions what they have achieved now? Of course, your answer obviously is no.

With full confidence I can say brilliance in your chosen field will take you places, bring name, fame and glory at your step. Money is not everything, it’s an important tool that’s ok but satisfaction matters. So, what are you waiting for, go for the job that suits your thoughts, mind, personality, and carve out your name in that bastion.
