James Bond after Harry Potter is the reigning series that has grossed over five billion dollars, and six actors have starred in the films with Sean Connery being the most loved and Roger Moore starring in most of them. The Indian audience is yet looking out for their desi 007, one who would equal the British Bond. Although they got their own Agent Vinod and their Tiger - they are no match to the style of Connery, the physically fitness of George Lazenby, Moore's comic timing, Timothy Dalton's closest resemblance to the fictitious character of Bond, and the Irishness of Brosnan. Many, who feast on Connery and Moore's almost next to perfect screen presence, is not in favour of Craig as Bond.

Says Niti Maheshwari, “I love all Bond movies and have a collection of them at home and go through them every once in a while but the yesteryear's charm is replaced by gadgets and women in recent movies. Craig is no Bond for me with his beefy muscles and his hair. If one tries to conjure up what Ian Fleming wanted a secret agent to be, it would not look like Craig.” Her view is not shared by most of this generation's youngsters as Casino Royale is big among them.

Kaustav says, “how can one not love Craig or Brosnan for that matter. Both of them are compeletely different in looks but can pull off a 007 with complete style and sophistication. I can't wait for Skyfall to release.” Ashim Sunam, who doesn't like too much spy movies also votes for Daniel Craig, “Daniel Craig is the one who comes to my mind, coz one of my favourite movies in that series is Casino Royale.”

I still remember that Pierce Brosnan went from a non-entity to the hottest actor when he and Halle Berry starred in one of the most loved Bond Movies of the recent time, “Die Another Day.” While the men were raving about Halle Berry, the women were going on and on about Brosnan. Personally, he was the best Bond as yesteryear actors looked too classical to me.

However, the war of Bonds comes to an end when yesteryear Bond, Roger Moore himself declared Daniel Craig to be the perfect match. According to him, Craig has the 'the best build of any Bond', reported The Telegraph. Well! If a Bond is saying that then we have to believe it.
