Who will win American idol 2010, DeWyze or Bowersox
Game is over, performance over, judges verdict sealed. But most powerful of all, viewers vote will make all the difference in result of American Idol 2010. Crystal Bowersox stormed back against Lee DeWyze in the American Idol performance finale.
GAME IS over, performance over, judges verdict sealed. But most powerful of all, viewers vote will make all the difference in result of American Idol 2010. Crystal Bowersox stormed back against Lee DeWyze in the American Idol performance finale on Tuesday, stealing the hearts of judges and setting up a nail-bitting finish to America’s most-watched TV show.

Who is your choice of Idol?

Bowersox, 24, whose energy had been lacking in recent past, was the clear favorite of judges for the 2010 title after her three-song set. But people of America’s choice of its idol will be revealed Wednesday night after millions of text and telephone votes have been counted.

Judge Randy Jackson told Bowersox after she closed the Tuesday’s show on rendition of ‘Up to the Mountain’, “This is one of your best moments, at a perfect time.”

Usually abrasive Simon Cowell said, “You took that song and you absolutely nailed it,” after her version of rock classic “Black Velvet.”

DeWyze, 24, seen as dark horse of the TV singing show, had been tipped by Cowell to win before Tuesday’s final performance. But the bluesy singer and guitarist, seemed to lost some of his confidence that saw him overshadow Bowesox last week.

In its 9th season, “American Idol” is still most watched TV show of America, but has seen decline of viewership of 9% in recent times. In recent weeks, less than 20 million viewers have been tuning in as the contest neared its climax, compared to almost 30 million in 2006.

So, forget judges, what do you think is going to win the title of idol. Bowersex and DeWyze are two last standing from some 100,000 aspiring popstars who auditioned last summer. The first place finisher will get the chance to launch a career like those of previous "Idol" winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
