Why we the people of India voted for hung Parliament?
The D-day has com, the stage is set for India's new government and what is going behind the scene is horse trading of regional parties. Fear of failing to earn a majority at the Centre, national parties are in a desperate attempt to make allies
BY TODAY evening, election verdict of the people of India shall be out. By all accounts, it is going to be hung Parliament with no single party or group in majority.

Horse trading has already started. Smart politicians of regional parties are already playing their game. Most of the time they are the main characters involved in bartering their personal interests against country's interest, shall now be having their field day each of them trying to extract maximum amount of flesh to chew for their growth.

Even prior to voting, Indians knew that these politicians are opportunists of the highest order and if if any national party failed to earn majority to form a government, these shall become kingmakers to become thorn in the flesh of any party who is able to cobble majority. Each of them is capable of blackmailing for their personal interest, ignoring people's and country's interests. Still people voted for them.

Before elections, there were huge campaigns on electronic and print media exhorting Pappu to vote and elect good people for good governance of the country.

Not all Pappus bothered to follow the  campaign (many whom I know think that their vote is going to be waste in the present scenario) but almost 50 per cent went and voted.

And  look! they have voted for mess.

Who shall be responsible for the mess country is now going to face once again? All those paappus, who were exhorted to vote  and instead of voting in national interest, voted on the lines of religion, caste, creed and other local factors. Even majority of those of national parties winning the election shall win it on the lines of religion, caste and other divisive factors.

In my view, democracy requires discerning Pappus otherwise for ignorant Pappus or Paapus whose minds are polluted with religious and caste divisive mindset that is the price democracy shall have to pay again and again.

After few days we Pappus of the country, sitting in our aircooled/airconditioned drawing rooms sipping and chatting over a  cup of coffee/tea, start blaming and cursing politicians, making them responsible for all the ills country shall be passing through forgetting that any government is representative of the type of people it represents.

We, the Pappus of this country, who voted, shall now be solely responsible for a cobbled government, which shall be subjected to blackmail every other day by the crooks becoming part of the same government. What do you say?

.Thanks to Almighty.Like most of the analyst,my fear of hung parliament proved wrong and country has been saved from balckmailers like Mayawati,Jayalalitha and Mulayamsingh. It is now clear that Pappus have now come of age and capable of evaluating the priorities of the country above religion, caste and creed.
.Do we have any a party which state its characters and behaviour to claim itself as a national party ? I really doubt so.
