Gone are the days for Gurgaon Rapid Metro commuters, when they had trouble logging on to the Internet on their smartphones, due to slow Internet speed over their phones. But, with the introduction of free Wi-Fi services, slow network is expected to become a thing of the past, as Wi-Fi services kick started today in the Rapid Metro.
This facility has been provided by MTS after
partnering with Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon
Ltd. MTS also wants to spread
their wings far and wide, as they are eager to provide such services
in other places as well, which includes other metros and educational
cities as well.
"This one of its kind service will enable
commuters to access fast and consistent data speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps
on MTS' 3G plus network," said, MTS India
Officer Dmitry Shukov, reported NDTV.
This service was provided to the commuters, after a
research study conducted by AZ Research, reflected that 95 percent of
the commuters wanted to access the Internet while commuting on Rapid
Metro, with people around the age group of 15-35 years showing keen

number of commuters surfing the Internet on the go, but there are
chances that the line may get jammed as well, inspite of fast, with a
number of commuters using the Wi-Fi services at the same time.
