Will Rayudu and Peterson's innings change fate of Mumbai Indians?
Rayudu and Peterson played some good cricket to help Mumbai Indians defeat Kings XI Punjab in their..

SACHIN TENDULKAR does not come out in the open and talk too much about a game of cricket. But, when he does, the whole world sits up and takes notice. Sachin Tendulkar has been all praise for Ambati Rayudu, Rohit Sharma and Robin Petersen for their performances in their last match against Kings XI Punjab, which was played in the PCA stadium in Mohali, Punjab, in which they played an important hand in winning the match, when the chips were down. Tendulkar tweeted, “What an unbelievable batting by Rohit, Rayudu and Robin to help MI win yesterdays match. Way to go MI”.

Sachin Tendulkar must have realised how important a victory it was for his team, who are currently placed on seventh position in the IPL standings. This victory could probably be the turning point for Mumbai Indians in the IPL this season. They cannot afford to peak very late, so the time is ripe for them now, to show their colours. This was their first victory in three matches as they had lost two of their previous matches. Mumbai Indians need to step up a gear, as the competition is getting tougher and tougher with the competition progressing forward. Teams at the top of the table like Delhi Daredevils are looking in great shape this season.

In his tweet, he also mentioned that the 19th over of the game changed everything for them and considers one of the most exciting over’s that he has seen in his life. Peterson and A. Rayudu took the attack to P. Chawla, who was thrashed all around the park, where he conceded 27 runs, which included 3 sixes, 2 fours and a single.  It was indeed exciting when Robin Petersen played the switch hit three time in the over fetching him 9 runs.

Mumbai Indians, on paper is probably the best team in the IPL. Players such as K.Pollard, H. Singh, R. Sharma, S. Tendulkar, Malinga, J. Franklyn are some names who have seen and done it all in their national colours. Why have they not been able to click, while they play for Mumbai Indians this season? They have not been consistent. May be, this was the kind of a victory, which they wanted, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. It might give them the much needed confidence when they play their future matches in the competition. They are scheduled to play their next match against Delhi Daredevils, later tomorrow, 27 April 2012. A victory against the top side of the IPL tomorrow could surely lift them up and make them a strong contender.
