Will the Prime Minister discipline Yogi Adityanath?
Nothing disturbs the peace, harmony and tranquility of a simple disciplined family than an unwanted intrusion or induction of a bride or groom from another faith than its original one just because a girl or a boy of a particular sect has fallen in love with the boy or girl of another caste, faith or religion. It is an unwanted situation that every community is facing today as colleges, universities or the work place have become a curious mixing cauldron for all races to unite in body fluids.

Cupid strikes anywhere, anytime and the intended youth blindly jump all the fences of society, religion and race to fall in love. Then it takes years to learn  the new social customs, language, style of dialogue, modes of prayer; it is another  hard task to gain acceptability and genuine respect of both the families.

This kind of marriage is not a welcome occasion for the members of family of any faith, whether Muslim, Christian or Hindu, in the first place. Out of love of their kids, the marriage is accepted to avoid further bitterness and complication. The couple engaged in this kind of marriage realize years later about the flip side of their emotional step when they eventually face the tacit social ostracization and slights of relatives and friends if they are not very rich.

So, let there be no misunderstanding in the mind of RSS followers who are buying hard the Joke of "Love Jihad" that this activity is as unacceptable to a Muslim family as it could be offensive to a Hindu family.  It is only an impulsive urge of innocent individuals who are unmindful of the strains they are going to create for their families and coming generation.

In this background, I would discuss the issue of RSS latest shibboleth 'Love Jihad' after the damp squib of Mandir-Masjid Mudda. I don't know if the majority of my countrymen would be so gullible as to fall victim to this latest chicanery and ruse of RSS and give victory on a platter in coming by elections in UP or elsewhere to BJP.

Like the successful marking of Narendra Modi for heading the Lok Sabha elction campaign, RSS is repeating the 'tried and won' idea of making Gorakhpur MP Yogi Adityanath  as the star campaigner for the crucial by-elections in Uttar Pradesh scheduled for September 13. He will lead the campaign along with State unit president Laxmikant Bajpai. The announcement comes a couple of days after a video surfaced showing Mr. Adityanath exhorting Hindus to counter the so-called "love jihad. "

Ajay Singh aka Adityanath was the youngest legislator in the 12th Lok Sabha at 26(1998). The young yogi is the successor to former Hindu Maha Sabha president Mahant Avaidyanath at the Gorakhpur temple and is at the forefront of the Hindutva agenda.

And here are some of his quotes:

Talking recently about communal riots, he had told Rajat Sharma in 'Aap Ki Adalat' programme on India TV that there are three categories of places where they occur. "In places where there are 10 to 20 per cent minorities, stray communal incidents take place. Where there are 20 to 35 per cent of them, serious communal riots take place and where they are more than 35 per cent, there is no place for non-Muslims."

"Hindus will reply 'in the same language' if they are subjected to attacks or forcible conversions." It is interesting to note that he didn't substantiate any of his statement with any solid facts. Everyone in the country knows that the only beneficiary of a communal riot is no one but RSS and BJP. The volunteers in RSS shakhas and the BJP seats in assembly or parliament always increase in the following elections.

RSS forgets one hard reality that it misses the wood for the tree. After ever dark incidence of communal violence, much after the houses, shops and streets are wiped off the blood that shed in a conflagration, the bustling business takes the serious hit, the fear among the hearts of school kids and elders haunts every sunset and the entrepreneur spirits of the denizens partly paralyzes. The kids of daily wagers go to sleep hungry and there is no proper care available for the patients. The area slips backs ages in progress. The industry moves out in search of safe and secure place. Suffering, unimaginable, erosion of faith in humanity devour the innocent life. It happens to Muslims and it happens to Hindus also.

Coming back to Adityanath episode, in an undated Youtube video  the BJP MP Yogi is found allegedly telling Hindu supporters to marry a hundred Muslim women for every Hindu woman marrying a Muslim and forcibly made to convert to Islam surfaced, it created an uproar across the country, in wake of the Love Jihad controversy. Uttar Pradesh High Court had questioned the state government on why so many Hindu girls were eloping with Muslim men to which the government had no answer. The yogi further narrates what a youth from Gorakhpur said about the issue, "Probably in the rest of Uttar Pradesh Hindu women run away with Muslim but in Gorakhpur, Hindu men marry Muslim women and bring them home." In the background hoots of glee can be heard from men attending the speech. Yogi Adityanath goes on to say that they will accept these Muslim brides and will cleanse them and introduce them to their new religion.

It is all pre-election propaganda to raise the communal feeling, a spin or hype to polarize society and win the elections. To gloss over the vitriol, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "We do not look at communal riots through the prism of any religion or community." Alleging that communal tension has increased in Uttar Pradesh on a daily basis ever since Samajwadi Party came to power, the BJP Vice President said, "Samajwadi Party and its leadership are responsible for the communal riots which have happened on such a large scale." He said, "Everybody -be it Hindu, Muslim or Sikh -has suffered from it and is a victim of this."

"It is an unfortunate and condemnable statement. He always makes statements which can lead to disputes. It is very unfortunate to talk such things about a particular community," Congress leader Rashid Alvi said a day after the firebrand BJP leader attacked the minority community.

CPI leader D Raja termed as "absurd" the Gorakhpur MP's remarks. "It also shows the rabid communal interpretation of the situation since Muslims are some 20 per cent or more, that causes communal strife. This is absurd and it shows the hatred of these people towards Muslims."

RSS keeps churning out its volunteer to spew the venom. The remarks its minions  deliberately make to provoke communal tension and create the rift. To gain Hindu voters sympathy, they are portraying Muslims as predators and Hindus as their innocent victims.

Why is the Prime Minister who is so fond of tweeting and addressing the public directly from every available platform is so stoically silent? It is inexplicable, irresponsible and suggests dereliction.

Mr Modi please speak before the history speaks out for you!
