Windows 8 set to be unveiled on October 26
Come October 26, 2012, Windows 8 will make its debut, as announced by Windows unit boss, Steven Sinofsky. It is expected to do good business after its launch.

AFTER THE overall success of Windows 7, Microsoft has announced that Windows 8 would be available from October 26, 2012. Windows 7 was introduced in 2009 and it has been reported that around 630 million licenses have already been sold till date. The latest version is expected to beat the sales record of Windows 7. It was Windows unit boss, Steven Sinofsky, who revealed the dates for the Windows 8 debut at a sales meeting, reported AFP.


Windows 8 would be using a new user interface, which would be similar to that of the windows phone, based on Microsoft's Metro design language. It is understood that the newer version of windows is going to be an improved version with new features to attract its customers from all around the world.

It would be available in 109 languages, cutting across 231 markets worldwide. The company, Microsoft has said that they are, for sure, going to make windows 8 available to computers, tablet, phone manufacturers in August so that they would also build it into a hardware, reported AFP. Computer manufacturers would be eagerly waiting for the newer version.

Windows 8 has taken into considerationthe technological advancement that has been taking place around the world. As people are using more smartphones, tablet PCs, etc., the latest version of the operating system has been tailored according to the needs of such devices.

Microsoft, since the launch of their windows series, has been one of the best operating systems providers throughout the world. There are various versions that have come out one after the other in recent years. Some of these operating systems are Windows NT 4.0, 2000, Vista, XP, and Windows 7.
