Although the tech gurus all over the world are thinking that all the higher end phones would have voice recognition feature, they also feel that touch screen would replace keyboards and mouse. According to them, keyboards are very near to their demise and wallets would also go out of the equation as mobile payments would become the order of the day.
2012 would be interesting as far as technological advancement is concerned as intellectuals all around the world are waiting for the flexible screens that would be a revolution. Nokia is trying hard to get into the fight of the higher end phones. As reported in cnn.com, last week Nokia unveiled a handset that allows users to bend and twist the screen to enable scrolling and zooming. Although, it sounds quite foreign and unimaginable but they have released the prototype and very soon we would have the actual set in the market.
We have moved away from the time when phones were delicate and had to safeguarded, as with the flexible displays they immediately become more durable. After the flexible phones, tablets that will soon follow could be twisted in order to scroll and zoom. When Nokia came up with the prototype, imaginations ran wild and now the techies are even thinking of a prototype device that can be rolled and folded. This would also lead to purchasing a single device that would act both as a phone and a tablet due to the foldable and bendable feature. A lot of speculations are going on regarding the same and people are waiting for 2012 as the future seems too exciting for technology.
