With summers at the door step, Gurgaon has already started experiencing power cuts. Known as the millennium city, the electric supply to some areas is very low. Since 2-3 days, the residents of Old city are undergoing power cuts which last for 7-8 hours per day.

According to a Navbharat Times MCG's
SDO Pawan Kumar said that if the maintenance work of the feeders is
not carried out on time, the peak season may see a big problem of
electricity shortage. He also said that the cables of the Shivpuri
feeder are very old. If not changed/ repaired, a huge power cut is
So, to prevent such complications,
maintenance work is being carried out due to which power cut is
expected for 5 days. According to the sources, sector-6 and sector-7
are the worst hit. These areas are facing 7-8 hours of power shortage
since the last 2-3 days. Here, electricity goes off at around 10 in
the morning and is back by 6 in the evening.
