Empowerment is a process that challenges our assumptions about the way things are and can be. At the core of the concept of empowerment is the idea of power. What else is the definition of empowerment? Women empowerment generally has five components: first, a woman's sense of self-worth; second, her right to have and exercise her choices; third, her right to have access to opportunities; fourth, her right to have the power to control her own life and last, her ability to influence the direction of social change to create a social and economic order.
