Woman tries to poison her 11-week-old niece; what has humanity come to?
In one of the most barbaric incidents that have come to light, a woman has been booked on charges of attempt to murder of an infant baby who was also a relative to hers. The infant was just 11-weeks-old at the time of the incident.

The woman tried to kill her niece by adding pain reliving medication to a bottle of breast milk that was kept to be fed to the baby. The accused has been identified as 19-year-old Sarai Rodriguez Miranda and has been charged with attempt to murder.

She is yet to be arrested though the police are looking for her. As per reports, she fled as she learnt that she is under the scanner of investigative authorities for attempt to murder of the infant. The woman who herself was staying in her mother's house was upset with her brother & his family staying in the same house.

As per the case documents that have been presented in the court, though fortunately the baby was not harmed, the milk was adulterated enough with the medicines that it could have even killed an adult.

The case was brought to light when the mother of the accused found text messages on a shared cellphone and the in the text messages, the accused was telling her boyfriend that she is going to attempt to kill the infant.

One of the text messages reads "I'm gonna crush up some of these pills since she decided they can stay longer and kill their baby."

"I hope she dies," reads another.

She is reported to have even told her boyfriend, "I thought it was funny that I don't have an ounce of guilt."

Her mother immediately took screen shots of the messages and presented it as evidence. Though she said she had not fed the child any milk from the bottle, she still took the baby for tests which luckily showed no signs of poisoning.
