We must understand that every right (empowerment) comes with a responsibility and it sometimes takes a generation for the newly empowered sect to realize that . . . patience & education are our only tools, a few must suffer and it is rather unfortunate that our generation has to pay the price.
Our lawmakers must realize that India is almost as big as Europe and far more diverse, therefore, judging the entire country with the same yardstick is unjust . . . we have a different taxation system for tier-2 cities & rural India, similarly, the women in rural India are the victims while women in urban India are fast becoming aggressors, so the lawmakers must wake up and have a differential interpretation of 498A or DV act for educated women in urban India. After all, if women have equal right to education. jobs, politics and earning money, they must shoulder equal responsibility of supporting the family whether it is monetarily or emotionally . . . ask for no more !
