Much has been written about Rahul Gandhi's speech that he made post his crowning as the Vice President of the Congress party. The speech did leave many people teary-eyed and a number of reactions starting from 'Rahul Gandhi- the answer to India's trouble' to 'we want action rather than words' were noticed on various social networking websites.
Mostly everyone who heard the speech said that it was well orated but action is what India
needs at the moment. A friend, who doesn't want to be named says, “He played his words well and might have talked about the loopholes of the party, yet I can't seem to believe him until and unless he delivers on his words.”
Sumedha Banerjee, an ardent fan of junior Gandhi, however, quotes his words, 'I want to tell you about hope and I want to tell you about power', when asked to react on the ‘powerful’ speech. “How can you ignore or criticize somebody who wants to give hope and represents such a democratic party. I look forward to a party that has the 'DNA of India' and look up to the leader who knows power is poison and hope is all we want,” Banerjee told this citizen journalist
Reflecting the same emotion, a tweeple wrote, “ I for one would be glad if the Congress reinvents itself and gives us Good Governance ..Rahul Gandhi do oblige.”
While none had the answer as to why everyone reacted this way to the speech, yet everyone was sure that being young, and giving an emotional speech that struck a chord with the audience helped the Gandhi parivaar's next-in-line leader the most.
Sending a powerful message to all those girls who find Rahul Gandhi irresistible (not necessarily for his political acumen), a tweeple sending her thoughts to the virtual world wrote, “I agree Rahul Gandhi is a good husband material - good looking, rich and dumb. But remember u are voting for the PM & not for a Swayamvar. Ok?”
