Workshops on self-study and technical drawing skills held in Haryana
The school-based workshops on self-study and technical drawing skills of school students of rural areas of Karnal district of Haryana were held at village Jamba and Nigdhu on January 24. More than 100 students of the science streams of Anand Public School and Arya Vidyapeeth Senior Secondary School participated in the workshops, which has been hailed as successful.

According to coordinator of  the workshops, Dr. Vij, Former physics  professor of Kurukshetra University said that the purpose of the workshops was to expose students in skills of accessing information from the print media and reorganize them in graphic formats and improve their skills in technical drawing to illustrate various experimental set ups, figures, instruments and devices.

The sessions in note making graphic skills were held for the students and related techniques were demystified. The experiences in line drawing, oblique drawing and isometric drawing were imparted to the participants by the resource person, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

The  tasks to be done after the workshops were assigned to transfer of training to further studies from book resources and better classroom notes.
