World Cup 2010 results: Argentina vs. South Korea, 4-1, match analysis
It was probably Gonzalo Higuain's day, he scored a hat trick in today's victory of Argentina over South Korea in 4-1 game. This will definitely give Maradona a relief because now they will move to next round very easily.
WHAT A show of perfection by Diego Maradona Squad of FIFA World Cup 2010. Goal, goal and another goal, that is the story of Day seventh of Football carnival in South Africa between Argentina and South Korea. In total five goals scored, out of those four by Argentina team.

It was probably Gonzalo Higuain’s day, he scored a hat trick in today’s victory of Argentina over South Korea in 4-1 game. This will definitely give Maradona a relief because now they will move to next round very easily.

Argentina took the lead in 17th minute when Lionel Messi corner kick easily found its way to net. After an early lead and dominant play Higuian made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute with Nicolas Burdisso pass.

But Asian football giant South Korea, although relatively less dangerous compared to Argentina, minimize the score gap in first half injury time. By half time score was 2-1.

Maradona’s World cup squad was in full control of game and South Korean team looked totally helpless against Argentinean continuous attack.

It was just a matter of numbers of goal margin that bothered Argentina team, and they did it with perfection. Two second half goal in 76th minute and 80th minute by Higuain made it impossible for Asian rising team to even dream to coming closer.

Argentina leads group B with six points off two victories. The out come Nigeria vs. Greece match scheduled on Thursday will fix the spot for Argentina in Knock out round.

Messi was in perfect shape, mentally as well as physically. Higuain’s second goal was gift from Messi, his shot blocked by keeper and found Higuain’s feet to get an easy entry the box.  Just four minute later it was Messi who brought the ball close to the post and passed it to substitute striker Sergio Aguero, who crossed for Higuain to complete the rout.

It was the best performance of the game of the tournament, and probably better than Germany’s 4-0 win over Australia. The Argentinians had 11 shots on goal to just two for South Korea.

South Korea played really well, but the motivated and charged Argentina was much better equipped to defend and strike. South Koreans emerge with more confidence after closing to 2-1. In the 58th minute, Yeom Ki-hun almost scored the tying goal, but his shot went just wide of the left-hand post.
