World cup win brings Indians together, players feted
The ICC 2011 world cup victory has brought great happiness to the Indian people, who have been waiting for this win for the last 28 years. This victory has also brought Indians together as they savour the victory.
THE INDIAN victory in the ICC world cup has brought immense happiness to cricket fans and the people of India. With this win, Indians have proved that they are the best team in the world.
 
As soon as the winning shot was played, the entire country turned out for a euphoric celebration. Top leaders, businessmen, industrialists and actors were seen celebrating this great victory on the roads and streets.
 
I have never ever seen the people so happy. Cricket unites the people of India and once again this world cup victory has brought the people together. The victory means a lot to the players as well and this could be seen on Saturday night also. Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and all other players enjoyed the victory and their happiness was reflected by their tears of happniness.
 
In 1983 India had won the World Cup guided by Kapil Dev and at that time the country was lead by Indira Gandhi. This time the team has won the world cup guided by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and lead by a strong leader in the form of Sonia Gandhi. The UPA chairperson on Saturday celebrated the Indian victory with common people at 1:00 am in the morning without any fear and enjoyed the moment of India’s victory.
 
Every Indian state is appreciating the Indian team and felicitating the players with rewards and awards. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit has announced to give cash award to Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag and Ashish Nehra and Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.  
 
Jharkhand government has announced to honour MS Dhoni with ‘Jharkhand Ratna’ award and also make a stadium in his name. The Gujrat government has also announced to honour Munaf Patel and Yusuf Pathan with the ‘ eklavya award’.
