Yahoo.com, the web giant which provides a lot of services including mail, news, maps and searc went down for at least an hour as users from various parts of US were unable to access their favourite site.
The site didn’t open up after repeated tries by several users. Yahoo didn’t comment on it till now and the site is back up and running.
With the heavy load of traffic that yahoo gets, the site was sluggish when it resumed after an hour. It showed either a blank page or “site not found” warning.

The officials were quick to respond and assured the reader to fix it soon. The same site was targeted by some virus as several videos directed the users to somewhere else than designated.Yahoo has taken notice of the issue but didn’t comment as the site was up soon. The users are happy that their favourite website is up and running.
