THE POPULARITY of Facebook in India has been growing each and every day. There are more than 25 million Facebook users in India alone, as a result of which a game has been launched in Facebook, known as Karma Kingdom. It is considered to be one of the first games launched, which includes Indian mythological characters.
The game is said to have been developed by Asvathaa, which is an entertainment and media company. The social networking giant Facebook has stated that the game is a fantasy island game, which is going to reward its players with goodwill and Karma points, as they have to build a community.
It is a game where the player gets a chance to meet popular gods of Indian mythology, such as Lakshmi, Ganesha and Hanuman. Ashok Desai, CEO and founder of Avasthaa said that the game has been introduced by the company as they want to popularise the Indian culture and the mythological tales. They have primarily targeted the Asian people while chalking up their project for Karma Kingdom.
One of the main persons behind developing the game is Aaron Mathew, who says that users are able to send their feedback and suggestions as to what they feel about the game. With this, the founders of the game would come to know about its popularity and develop the game in accordance to users.
