Youth's suspicious death sparks protests in Jammu
A mob of about hundred persons, came with the body of the youth and blocked the Tawi Bridge bringing the entire traffic to a stand still. The demonstration continued for about two hours till, the SSP assured the crowds of a proper investigation.

THE MYSTIFYING death of Kuldeep on Thursday, October 15, sparked another protest in Jammu. Reports said that body was identified as Kuldeep Kumar, son of Ram Saran, resident of Old University Road, Jammu and was recovered near St Peter School, early this morning.

Reports said that the passers-by spotted the body found lying under suspicious circumstances, near St Peter School and informed the concerned Police accordingly. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to GMC, Jammu. After conducting a post-mortem, the body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.

The relatives however, alleging that the youth was murdered, refused to take the body home. They instead, held a demonstration, demanding the early arrest of those involved in the killing.

Long queues of vehicles were seen all along from Satwari and Gandhi Nagar Chowk and Ampallah and Shalimar from old city side, creating a grid lock on the ever busy Tawi Bridge.

The demonstration continued for about two hours till, on the persuasion of Additional Deputy Commissioner, the Senior Superintendent of police, Jammu assured the crowds of a proper investigation into the death, besides compensation and SPO job for the deceased wife.

However it took several hours to clear the traffic jam on the city roads.
