YouTube, Intel join hands to launch Box Office in India
Are you one of those Bollywood fans who never get enough of their favorite films? Well! Here's some good news, YouTube is collaborating with Intel to introduce its Box office service in India.
YOUTUBE WILL soon start its BoxOffice service in India, which will allow people to watch films online. The advertisement supported channel www.youtube.com/BoxOffice will premier one Hindi film every month. It will open with Yash Raj Film's Band Baaja Baaraat.

Although, free online movie services are already available on the internet, Box Office is expected to do well as it will bring the biggest Bollywood hits on web. Besides, it aims to rein in the increasing piracy rate in the country. However, one's online movie watching experience would depend on the speed of the internet.

The channel will offer choice of number of resolutions for viewing a film, an additional video about the making of the film, and deleted scenes. A YouTube catalogue of 1,500 popular films, including regional films, will also be available on the channel, which a viewer can watch anytime he wants and free of cost. Besides, extra features such as Movie Trivia, Quizzes and Intel Win An Island contest will be provided.

YouTube has begun talks with some of the top production houses in the country as part of its business promotional effort. "We are working with the companies to fulfil business needs, from securing global distribution to marketing films, creating new business models around old content, and engaging with fans," said Gautam Anand, Director of YouTube Japan-APAC, as quoted by The Times of India.

The future looks all green for India’s online movie business with Netflix considering plans to enter the market. Also, Google has revealed plans to start movie rental service in the country.
