YSRCP MPs are ready to quit and face by-polls
Describing the ongoing developing events as a fight between the arrogance of New Delhi and the self respect of Telugu people, YSR Congress Party has said that the BJP and the TDP are to be equally blamed for trying to bury the Special Category Status (SCS).

Party's MP P Mithun Reddy said, "All MPs of our party had welcomed the decision of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and are ready to quit in the prescribed format and face election even if they are held immediately. It is ridiculous on part of TDP to propagate that we have been resigning as there is scope of by-polls which is contrary to our view."

He reminded that they have been telling for the past 14 months that all MPs would quit over SCS and stand on a high moral pedestal while it is the turn of the TDP to disqualify the turncoat MLAs and go for by-polls and at the same time, Chandrababu Naidu can use his goodwill to get their resignations accepted and seek by-polls.

Reddy accused that the TDP has gone back from its promises on SCS. Although SCS was the prime point in the manifesto of the TDP which it was advocating for 15 years, has now compromised on the state's interests for personal reasons.

YSRCP found no reason as to why the offer of special package should be accepted in lieu of SCS though what was on offer was nothing new other than what was promised during the bifurcation.

The opposition party lamented that the double speak of Chandrababu Naidu was thoroughly exposed when he boasted in the Parliament that he was responsible for the division of the state, on one hand, and has been telling that Andhra Pradesh has become an orphan and it needs an experienced person like him to take it forward.

The partnership summits yielded nothing though there were tall claims from the government's side. Chandrababu has given construction contracts at exorbitant rates to benefit his coterie. Although it has been 15 days since the Union Budget was presented, Chandrababu Naidu has not come out in the open to give his reactions, he said.
