Rajan Zed, the Indo-American statesman has urged the Indo-Americans to be counted in upcoming census. He said that participation in the census was very crucial as it impacted federal funding, political representation, etc, for the next ten years.
INDO-AMERICAN statesman Rajan Zed has urged all people of India-descent living in United States of America to stand-up and be counted in upcoming census.
Zed, who is chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, in a statement in Nevada, USA, said that participation in the census was very crucial as it impacted federal funding (of over 400 billion dollar annually), private investment, public infrastructure and services, political representation, advocacy, etc, for the next ten years.
Rajan Zed is also a member of the Complete Count Committee of the 2010 Census as a religious representative to help guide outreach and education activities. The 2010 Census is a count of everyone living in the United States. The first census was conducted in 1790, and has been carried out every 10 years since then.
