Labour unrest is common in Gurgaon and Haryana. Even the recurrent labour strife at Maruti's Gurgaon plant has not resulted in the state government reforming labour laws to empower both the employer and the employee. A case in point being the difference in labour wage between workers from Gurgaon and Dharuhera leading to strikes and protests. Due to lack of standardization in issues like these, does Gurgaon have weak labour laws, which is negatively affecting business sentiment?
