Due to Punjab and Haryana High Courts' ban on use of bore well water for construction, Haryana is saving more then 2 lakh litres of bore well water. Gurgaon is supplying re-cycled water from its Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) for construction and drinking. But there are reports that local water mafia is still supplying bore well water to builders, and that the volume of water being supplied via STPs is insufficient. Has Gurgaon successfully solved the issue of illegal use of bore well water?
