Incidents of rape continue to be reported in Delhi and several other cities. It's evident that there has been no large-scale crackdown on the ground to prevent or at least bring down the frequency of this crime. Is it right to conclude that the nation-wide anti-rape protests and consequent proposals to enact strong laws for the protection of women has had little effect in preventing the crime of rape in Delhi. Or will measures taken take time to bear fruit?
