Some sports are doing well in the country, while others are in neglect due to various reasons. There is no singular vision from the government stating which sports should be developed and promoted so that a sporting culture takes root and leads to sporting excellence through the nation's athletes. Does India need to formulate a well thought-out sports policy and program?
