Has India become a nation that can't respect diverse opinions?
Be it films, art, politics, women, law and order - many people in India allow and empower political and social elements in the country to police people and thoughts due to multiple motives. In the case of MF Hussain, Asish Nandy, and the row over Kamal Haasan’s latest movie Vishwaroopam in Tamil Nadu, the refusal to respect, in the absence of ill-intentions, other people's work and thoughts - has become a scary reality. Do Indians find it difficult to handle an opinion different than theirs?
