Commentators have pegged March 2012 as the rape month for Gurgaon, as three rapes were reported within a few days of each rape incident. While authorities can greatly improve public policing and crime prevention and detection infrastructure, personal responsibility for keeping oneself safe can also help in aiding safety of women.
