Post Assam exodus should responsible controls be put on social media in India?
Mass text and audio-visual messages via social media platforms created such panic that people from the north east, understandably, made decisions to protect themselves. Mass paranoia set in - apparently, this is what the people behind the mass mailings wanted. Their idea was to lend support to Muslims in India, and to disturb peace. Given the largest internal exodus ever, should there be more stringent laws - both before and after posting of content that aims to threaten peace in India?
