25th July 2014, will be considered as another black day in the history of male disposability and biased ness towards men. Today a BJD MP will propose Marriage Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2014 in the parliament as a Private Member's bill.
Recent Supreme Court's judgement on curtailing immediate arrests in all the crimes that have a conviction of seven years or less has created lots of doubts and fear in feminists. There has been a lot of hue and cry on the judgement that 498A was a law for harassed helpless women in India and Supreme Court with this judgement took the teeth away.
Under the threat of all the gender biased and anti male laws viz 498a, CRPC125, DV2005, Rape Law, the biggest mistake a man makes is that he trusts the system blindly. He thinks 'What if his so called wife is a liar, still he would be able to come out clean with the help of judiciary and the police.' Yes, why not? He should have hopes as the judiciary is expected to give justice and police has the power.
Recently we all witnessed a roar on SP chief Mulayam Singhs statement on Rape. What he actually said was that the rape accused should be punished for sure however; innocent person should not be punished. I totally agree to this statement as the statement is in the best interest of the law. This statement of his, as soon as given was flashed on all TV channels with twisted lines. The entire statement was changed, I heard one of the News Channels anchor saying Ye Besharam Bayan Diya hai Mylayam Singh Yadav ne (This shameless statement is given by Mulayam Singh Yadav). I wonder what is shameless in this statement? Is it the statement itself? Or is it the intention behind making such statement? I dont find this statement offensive at all.
