Reema Das a popular Assamese poet based in Tinsukia Assam teacher who did her Masters in English and B.Ed from Dibrugarh University and her PGJMC, Distance Education at Deemed University finds in creative write ups her passions. Since 1994 she has been writing poetry and other fictional write ups and her poetry was published in The Sentinel and The Assam Tribune as well as in many poetic anthologies of national and international level. She is popular as an academician and well known for musing on Assam and North East in her poetic and fictional write ups. Her life is dynamic and as she says in one of her poems : I'm the confluence of three rivers, flowing in each state, started from my native village; I flowed from there as the Lohit river, drank the sweet hilly water as I move; my thirst quenched " then she reached Brahmaputra and finally Ganga. This the life journey is like one from Lohit to Ganga . She gets Indianised in her thinking in spite of her deep regards for Assamese Culture
