Arrah, a marginalised Bhojpuri town suddenly comes at the forefront because of an erotic singer Anaarkali. Debutante filmmaker Avinash Das has picked up one of the least discussed subjects to make his first directorial venture. Anaarkali of Arrah is an authoritative and intrepid representation.
In the early 90's Abbas-Mustan made their debut with 'Agneekaal', a film which turned out to be a disaster. Then they delivered 'Khiladi', which was inspired from the mid 70's Rishi Kapoor starrer 'Khel Khel Mein' and set up a landmark in Bollywood's timeline.
'Trapped' it's a statement. Trapped into a puzzle. Trapped confoundedly in mediocrity of the socio-economic spider-web. If you are going to a multiplex looking for a hardcore masala entertainer then `Trapped' would be a wrong choice straight away.
