West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee has lost her sleep after the arrest of her senior State Minister Madan Mitra. Though, several other TMC leaders have already been arrested by the CBI earlier, Mamata Banerjee did not get panicky on those occasions and managed to keep her behavior in order. But the way she has been behaving after the arrest of the Mitra, only reinforces suspicions of wrong doing at the highest level in the party.
Shiv Sena has officially expressed its intention to sit in opposition in the Maharashtra assembly in order to ensure that if nothing else, it could get the 'Leader of the Opposition' post in the Assembly, which enjoys the privileges of a Cabinet minister.
Even before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress was really worried from Modi style politics as the party and many of its associate regional partners were of the firm view that they will be able to keep the BJP (without Modi) out of power by branding the nationalist party as a communal party and people will again give a fractured mandate so that it can be easily manipulated by the so called secular parties to grab the power at the Centre.
