Today, it was breaking news that one of the accused in the Nirbhaya's rape and murder case has committed suicide by hanging himself. He had to be hanged in any case, now he has fast forwarded the whole story.
The aam admi is going to be affected by these strikes. Commuting will be difficult, what is new about it. Essential services will be hit, so what? Banks and Sarkari offices will be closed, at least some people will go on a forced holiday and they look forward to such paid holidays. Vandalism may happen, poor taxiwalas, chai walas, bhajia walas and industries etc. will be the sufferers, happens every time, nothing novel about it.
What does the word 'rape' bring to your mind? It's a kind of dirty word that gives you a filthy kind of feeling, makes you uncomfortable, and shiver in your skin. The word has no other meaning but a form of forceful application of someone on some one. No gentlemen, I am not talking of Nirbhaya, or for that matter of the gang rapes which are still happening every day. I want to bring to your notice how we are engaged in a similar behavior vis-a-vis our country.
I watch the television program Big Boss as a ritual every day at 9 pm. I don't enjoy it, but everyone at home is quite interested in the happenings especially as the curtains are about to be drawn on one more season in a short. I was just thinking of this person called Imam Siddique, one of the inmates of the house. What an irritating character. He is a foul mouthed, non-cooperative, and frustrating kind of person. At present, my irritation is the same with Pakistan.
