While we can definitely argue over the magnitude of corruption within the political parties, there is no denial that there are rogue elements in all the parties who indulge in corruption. Be it national parties like Congress, BJP or the regional parties like DMK, BSP, SP etc. there are stains of corruption on every party.
Kashyap Vyas, a Pune based social worker has filed a petition against the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) for its irresponsible behavior against a complaint. Vyas has claimed that the PMC is working hand in glove with the Tanker Mafia in Pune and are taking lakhs of rupees from the residents.
So far voting has been completed for around 200 Lok Sabha seats. The important thing to be noted is that in Lok Sabha elections 2014, the voting percentage has gone up by 10 per cent, on an average, when compared to 2009 elections. Be it Delhi, Haryana, UP or Southern Indian states, rise in voting percentage has been observed from across the country.
