After Navdeep Singh Virk, IPS joined as Commissioner of Police of Gurgaon, in the last one month, Gurgaon Police has taken up the use of technology in a big way. Virk is communicating with the lower formations in real time using email and applications like WhatsApp. Using this technology ensures quicker communication from the Commissioner of Police down to the last policeman within seconds, a process that could take days, if done though traditional way of writing letters. In this way the Commissioner of Police is able to ensure better control and coordination of the Gurgaon Police.
A second hoax call has worried Gurgaon administration today. This is the second call in two days and it is becoming increasing irritable for the residents as well as the administration. Today, the call stated that a bomb has been planted in the Arcadia shopping complex in the South City mall on Sohna Road, which turned out to be a hoax.
