May 22 is International Day for Biological Diversity which provides us an opportunity to focus on the importance of biodiversity. Biological diversity is essential for life and humanity to progress. The rich biodiversity around the world are threatened and it's our responsibility to take action for the preservation of biodiversity.
One of the dignified professions in the world is nursing. This is a profession through which one may extend their service to the needy and sick persons. Nursing is a profession with lot of challenges. They work with other health professionals to provide all required services to the sick or other patient.
Sainik School Goalpara, one of the pioneering institutes in the North Eastern region of the country, held its Investiture Ceremony for academic session 2015-16 in the school premises on 9 May 2015. The day commenced with an impressive parade which was reviewed by Maj Gen Anil Kumar Jha, GOC, 51 Sub Area who is also the Chairman of Local Board of Administration (LBA) of the school. The GOC and his gracious lady Mrs Abha Jha formally bestowed Appointments upon 29 cadets as School Captain, School Adjutant, Mess Captain, School Vice-Captain, House Captains & House Vice-Captains, Senior Prefects & Juniors Prefects. This was followed by an Oath Taking Ceremony.
Malaria, being one of the vector bone disease is still causing deaths and bringing problems amongst many people. Though there has been much progress but due to lack of adequate funding it is still a trouble for many people.
