IIM Shillong welcomed the fifth batch of its Post Graduate Programme for Executives - Managing Business in India and China (PGPEx-MBIC) with speakers making a plea for both India and China to learn from and collaborate with each other for combined progress of both the countries and help resolve problems, which confront both the nations like those of the urban slums.
No one wants to live in poverty or in hunger. Poverty is one of the worst forms of human rights violation for entire man kind. It is unfortunate for us that in spite of many progresses, there are people in poverty whether in Africa or in Asia. South Asia has many people living under the poverty line. There is no exception for India too.
In a bid to update students with job options and opportunities a one day workshop on "job and self employment opportunities" was held at Bajali College based in Pathsala area of Barpeta district in Assam on 6th September. This was organised by the Placement Cell in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college.
