I came to know through news channels that 65 MPs of India had sent letters to the US President Barack Obama urging him to continue to deny visa to Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister. I believe it is completely wrong on the part of Indian politicians to ask the US government to refuse visa to Modi.
We are living in a hypocritical society and what's unfortunate is that many journalists are engaged in creating a sensation out of issues, which is counter-productive and leads to inaccurate portrayal of the realities on ground. Since the last few days I have been watching television and found that most of the debates and discussions are being polarized on lines of communal versus secular. Do we really need this debate? Are there not more pressing issues?

India is a free country and this freedom came almost 66 years back on 15 August 1947. Freedom fighters of this country laid down their lives for better and free life of the countrymen. They envisioned a free country with equal rights to all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, religion and language. But if you look at the current state of our country, it has completely drifted from that vision.
